This is a custom installation using copper pipe, vintage brass door knobs, antique glass finials, glass shelves and custom LED lighting tucked inside copper pipe with a dimmer. The piece is secured to the wall with copper clamps.

Here I have one of my Art Deco drawings printed onto Mylar paper and wrapped around a light fixture. These lamps each have colored light bulbs to create a dramatic affect and come with an on-off foot switch.

A BIT OF BACKROUND
I grew up in San Francisco. I joined the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local #38 in the early eighties and worked on many of the old Art Deco era high rises and I also spent time down on the waterfront in the shipyards. It was at this time I was taught to work with many different metals using different heating techniques. I have a great appreciation for those who taught me at a time when many things were still being made by hand.
I enjoy working with my hands and re-purposing old pieces of metals mostly copper and brass, soft metals. Whether it's a retired horn turned into a light fixture or a piece of wood, some copper pipe and old brass bits and bops becoming a chair, designing and creating something unique for folks to use and admire for years to come is special to me.

This particular expression was done in a short amount of time with a large graphite stick. The idea was from an earlier drawing I had started below which took months and ultimately finished in 2019.

Here you see the the piece that took me months to finish. All of my work here is done freehand which greatly adds to the time it takes to complete. As you can see with most of my drawings they are predominately black and white and given the time they take to complete I enjoy getting them photographed and printed in the Inverse. 2019

LOUNGE & KITCHEN RENOVATION
This is a new lounge at youth Hostel in Downtown Vancouver. There was a bedroom at the far end which we demolished the wall and opened up the room which is also home to a kitchen for guests. Utilizing fabric panels on the wall created a more desirable acoustic and warmth to the space and a great spot to eat and or plug in your media.

DEMOLITION
Taking down an old rotten shed and creating a new workable space in this yard was very satisfying. I will remove all the debris and offload at the
local transfer station.
